Margaux WBS Overall Mare Performance Champion
Margaux was crowned overall Champion at the British Warmblood Society (WBS)
Mare Performance Test Gradings, winning the Show Jumping section and second
in the dressage section.
Matilda - Champion Sports Pony Mare
Matilda was crowned Champion Mare at the Sports
Pony Studbook Society Grading day. The grading was based on type,
conformation, athleticism, and ability to perform under saddle.
BEF Foal Evaluation winner
Medoc x Calvalcade (TB mare) was the winner of the British Equestrian
Foal Evaluation at Catherston, winning the potential show jumper section and
second in the potential dressage section.
Outstanding Mare Sire
Medoc has sired to date an exceptional number of outstanding mares. A
prestigious number of 10 "select" (state premium equivalent) mares
recognised by the WBS, of which one was awarded Mare Performance Champion in 2007. He has
also sired 2 "elite" (state premium equivalent) mares recognised by the
British Hanoverian Horse Society, one of whom was overall Mare Performance
Champion while the other was 2nd overall and highest placed British Bred
mare, in different years. He also sired the 2008 Champion Mare at the Sports
Pony Studbook Society Grading.
Red Baron is selected to take on France for GB
The annual CCI*** at Saumur takes place from 17th - 20th May, and will play
host to fifty-three combinations from twelve nations. Great Britain and
France make up two-thirds of the field with sixteen British and eighteen
French combinations going head to head for the French title.
Heading the
British contingent is reigning World Champion Zara Phillips riding Gleadhill
House Stud's Red Baron. The pair have already completed two CCI***s at
