Angel is graded in the Main Stud Book of the Hanovarian Breed Society. She is by Argument out of the St Premium mare Flower Power (Feinerstern). She was purchased at the Equilibra Dressage Sales.
At her grading in Verden, Angel scored very good marks for her movement (8), rideability (8.5) all of which she passes onto her offspring. With a score of 9 from the Judge overall, only a jumping score of 7 prevented her being graded "State Premium".
Angel's eldest progeny, "Divine" a filly by Davignon is 6 years old and is registered as "D'Artagnanne" with British Dressage. She is now competing in the SE at Prelim and Novice level. In August 09 she won first place in both her novice tests at Oldencraig, ridden by Charlotte Uden, a young showjumping specialist. Charlotte has taken the ride this year as her usual rider Sadie Ogden Penn, professional dressage rider, has just had a baby. Her owner Jane Mecz says "She has a lovely temperament and balanced movement. We are also jumping her and plan to compete her in come combined training classes this winter". This win gained her first mention in Horse & Hound, Sep 3rd 09 edition. Jane says "The judge really loved her that day, and called Charlotte over to find out more about our horse. And although H&H say this was her first win, she already has three or four 1st places and a number of 2nds, 3rds and 4ths from her earlier tries".
Angel's 5 year old, "Michael Angelo", by Medoc has been winning at Prelim and qualified for the National Championships 2008 & the Petplan Novice Championships 2009 since joining his new owner, Karen Beddows.
Remember Me (Macho), a full brother to Michael Angelo, and a 4 year old in '09 (seen below as a foal) is also the image of Medoc. Ridden by Antonia Brown, he qualified for all the young dressage horse championship classes in 2009, a great achievement.
R.S. Raphael is Angel's 2007 offspring by Blue Hors Romanov (Rohdiamont). He is a dark bay gelding and a very good looking horse like his siblings, with superb movement. He is a fantastic prospect and we are excited about his future.
